Employee Bios

Bonnie May has completed her undergraduate degree in early childhood education at Saint Xavier University with a special education endorsement. She has completed her CPR certification and plans to receive the USA Gymnastics coach certification. Bonnie teaches the Gym-N-Learn program at Jungle Gym and has 8 years of previous experience with young children her favorite movie is The Wedding Planner. Her favorite color is navy blue and she loves vacationing in California.

Nina Thorell is a freshman at Moraine Valley Community College. She is studying to become a teacher. She loves to help children have fun. Nina loves to play softball, tennis and go tanning in her free time. She also makes time to watch moves and spend time with her family and friends. Her favorite color is yellow and she loves country music and some of her favorite artists are Taylor swift and Rascal Flatts.

Colleen McGrenera is a senior at Saint Xavier University majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and plans to become a Speech Pathologist after completing graduate school. Colleen is apart of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association at Saint Xavier and is also a Student Ambassador to the school. Aside from Jungle Gym, Colleen works at the fitness center at school, volunteers at a local hospital and enjoys going to the beach in her free time. She has past experience in high school cheerleading and tumbling and loves interacting with children.

Kate Delaney currently attends Saint Xavier University, however she went to Eastern Illinois University for two years. She is majoring in Elementary Education along with a middle school endorsement in Mathematics, and is minoring in Math Education. Kate works as a camp counselor for the past two summers at Ridge Park, for the Chicago Park District, with varies age groups ranging from 3-11 years old. She has been a babysitter for almost ten years and loves to play and interact with children! Her family is very large and has many cousins that she baby-sits. This summer she bought a kitten, Bailey, and she also bought a new car, a blue Chevy Cobalt. Her favorite season is fall, and her favorite color is green. She loves country music and some of her favorite artists are Carrie Underwood, Taylor swift and Rascal Flatts.

Molly Racky is a student at Mother McAuley and is currently an assistant teacher at Jungle Gym. Besides Jungle Gym, Molly has been babysitting since she was 12 years old and has played basketball and volleyball in the past. Some pastimes of Molly include hanging out with her friends, going to the movies and the beach. Molly’s favorite color is pink; she loves California and the summer and also plays the piano.

Cara Lewellyn is a student at Saint Ignatius College Prep and is an assistant teacher at Jungle Gym.  Cara has experience in ballet, tap, Irish dancing, four years of gymnastics and volleyball. Cara likes to baby-sit and is also apart of the Saint Ignatius lacrosse team! Cara volunteers and the Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education and is also a member of the Model UN club at school. She likes hanging out with her friends, reading, the colors yellow and pink, and the movie High School Musical. Cara’s favorite song is, “Our Song” by Taylor Swift, she loves the summer, Camp Ondessank, and she also plays the cornet!

Samantha West is a senior at Mother McAuley and enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the beach, and being with family. Sam has been involved in childcare since she was old enough to take care of children and likes to help children of all ages. Sam has background experience in dance and gymnastics and her favorite color is baby blue. Sam also likes to go fishing, the summer and going to Hawaii.
